The Monitoring and Evaluation Directorate started off as a department in 2004 and was upgraded to a Directorate in August 2006. The Directorate is charged with the responsibility of tracking performance of government in implementation of policies and programmes in line with the ERS and long-term development goals including the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
MED has established a National Integrated Monitoring and Evaluation System (NIMES), which comprehensively covers all public sector organizations and is expected to cover other non-state actors such as development partners, NGOs, FBOs, and Civil Society Organisations.Visit Minitoring and Evaluation Directorate Website
