The Commissioning Of New Three Storey Tuition Block
The speaker of the National Assembly, Rt. Hon. Moses Wetangula today, Friday, 23th January, 2026 commissioned new three storey tuition block at the Nambale Urban Primary and Junior Secondary School in Nambale Constituency, Busia County.
The tuition block which hosts 10 fully equipped classrooms, a modern Information Communication and Technology (ICT) hub, a library and a staff room was built by the National Government Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF) in Partnership with the M-Pesa Foundation.
During the ceremony, the National Assembly Speaker, Rt. Hon. Moses Wetangula, the Chief Guest highlighted that the modern ICT hub will boost Artificial Intelligence (AI) and emerging technologies which are in line with the government’s vision on Digital Superhighway and the Creative Economy.
In addition, Speaker Wetangula reiterated that this initiative will significantly enhance the educational landscape in the community while fostering a safe, inspiring and conducive learning environment that empowers students to thrive academically and socially.
The Economic Planning Principal Secretary, Dr. Bonface Makokha’s presence during the event signifies the department’s commitment to aligning development projects such as educational infrastructure with the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA).
Also present during the event were; the area Member of Parliament (MP), Hon. Geoffrey Mulanya, the NG-CDF Board Chair Hon. Olago Oluoch, the NG-CDF CEO, Yusuf Mbuno, the M-Pesa Foundation Chair, John Ohaga, the President’s aide, Farouk Kibet, various MPs and top government officials among others.
