Day two of The 2025 Annual National SDGs Multi-Stakeholders Conference
The second-day of the 2025 Annual National Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Multi-Stakeholders Conference unfolded earlier today with Panel discussions, collaborative engagements and sector-driven insights focusing on inclusive growth and impactful development in relation to SDGs implementation.
Today’s deliberations set the tone for an agenda dedicated to strengthening value chains, climate resilience, financing Mechanisms and cross-sector partnerships.
On top of that, the Bondo Member of Parliament Hon. Dr. Gideon Ochanda who is also the Parliamentary Caucus on SDGs and Business Chairperson, reaffirmed the participants on the Government ‘s commitment on leveraging Partnerships and collaboration geared towards advancing the SDGs execution in Kenya.
The Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS) team made a presentation on the SDGs Data Platform stipulating on the importance of disseminating data using a user-friendly and an open platform approach.
Further, the team outlined the progress made in strengthening National Statistical Systems (NSS) and improving access to credible development data in regards to SDGs.
The forum explored on Harnessing Technology and Digital Transformation for SDGs featuring the KNBS Data Science team.
A high-level panel explored the importance of coordinated production systems, resilient agricultural practices and County-National collaboration in order to ensure sustainable food systems.
Similarly, the sessions also centered around key topics including; Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), emerging technologies, Data protection, Digital Inclusion and the expansion opportunities available through Kenya’s digital ecosystem.
The second-day discussions initiate the stage for concrete follow-up actions and stronger multi-sectoral partnerships as Kenya moves into the final half of the SDG implementation years.
