Fourth Medium-Term Plan launched at State House Nairobi

Fourth Medium-Term Plan launched at State House Nairobi.

President William Ruto today presided over the launch of the Fourth Medium-Term Plan (MTP IV) of the Kenya Vision 2030 at State House Nairobi.

Speaking during the event, the Head of State outlined the government’s priorities and commitments as set out in the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda. MTP IV aims to transform the lives of those at the bottom through engineering an economic turn-around thereby uplifting lives. It emphasizes five (5) sectors which are Finance and Production, Infrastructure, Social, Environment and Natural Resources, and Governance and Public Administration.

‘The sectors will implement the Plan through priority value chains such as leather, cotton, Dairy, Edible Oils, Tea, Rice, Blue Economy, Minerals, Forestry, and Building Materials among others,’ the President said.

Present during the launch were the Prime Cabinet Secretary, H.E Hon. Dr. Musalia Mudavadi,  The National Treasury and Economic Planning, Cabinet Secretary Prof. Njuguna Ndung’u and Head of Public Service, Felix Koskei among other invited guests.
