Grassroots Data Management Phase II Training In Narok County

The State Department for Economic Planning launched Phase II Training on Grassroots Data Management for Evidence-Based Planning, targeting National Government Administrative Officers(NGAO) and other selected stakeholders involved in grassroots data collection and management in Narok County.

The purpose of this exercise is to equip the (NGAOs) with skills and knowledge to collect, store and retrieve data for planning,resource allocation and budget for evidence based planning. 

The three day event was officially opened by the Deputy County Commissioner for Narok Mr John Githongo.

'Kenya's biggest planning problem is lack of correct data from the ground and not just money or finances' said Mr Githongo. He added that wrong data can be misleading when it comes to planning and management

In attendance were Mr. Joseph Jamwaka from World Governance Chief Economist Alfaxad Omwenga and over 250 NGAO officers among others
