Jamii Bora CEO and Silvance Nono of Cooperative Bank pay a courtesy call on the CAS

The MSMEs sector in Kenya is neither  on the peripheral nor at the bottom but it is   the very engine that drives the economy of the country. In this regard ,the government has been very intentional in working with the MSMEs sector to address the challenges that they face and leverage on their strategic positioning to spur economic growth.

Recognising that MSMEs sector has accessed traditional financial products due to what was considered by financial institutions as high risk, the Government, working financial institutions,  has stepped in through Credit Guarantee Scheme to help cover the risk and in turn reduce the cost of credit  to this sector.

Jamii Bora Bank CEO, Anthony Wahome and Silvance Nono of Coop Bank , paid a courtesy call on the Chief Administrative Secretary, The National Treasury and Planning,  Eric Simiyu Wafukho at Treasury where they exchanged ideas on how the MSMEs sector could be strengthened.
