Kakamega Investment Forum comes to an end

The Speaker of the National Assembly Hon. Moses Wetangula officiated as the Chief Guest during the closing ceremony of the Inaugural Kakamega Investment Forum on 22nd March,2024.

 

The event that was also attended by various stakeholders, business fraternity and government officials witnessed the grand signing of 12 MOUs for partnerships and cooperation.

The MOUs signed forged business agreements in industrial relations, market access, promotion of locally produced goods from the county and their value addition, energy solutions, health care, environmental conservation among others.

 

Economic Planning Principal Secretary,James Muhati was also present. The PS shared his experiences in government National Development and Sectoral Planning as well as the current Statistical status in Economic Planning and Policy Management.

 

PS Muhati expressed his confidence that the just launched Fourth Medium Term Plan(MTPIV)2023-2027 of the Kenya Vision 2030 by His Excellency, Hon.William Samoei Ruto, will provide solutions to perennial challenges facing the country in terms of economic development planning if it is successfully implemented.

 

Also present were Dr. Juma Mukhwana (Industrialization), CRA Commissioner Hadija Nganyi, former Kakamega Governor Hon. Oparanya, and Members of Parliament among others.
