KIPPRA Mentorship Programme for Universities and TVETs(KMPUTs)

“KIPPRA doing good for the development of this Country.”

The Kenya Institute for Public Policy Research and Analysis(KIPPRA) is positively impacting on the lives of the youth population through capacity development and enhancing their career in public policy research and analysis.

Addressing Participants attending the KIPPRA Mentorship Programme for Universities and TVETs at Sigalagala National Polytechnic in Kakamega County on 7th March 2024, the Economic Planning  Secretary,  Timothy Gakuu  reiterated that the government has initiated a number of projects designed to provide financial and economic empowerment to the youth. Some of them include the Hustlers’ Fund, Talanta Hela, the Ajira digital programme for online jobs among others.

 

Mr. Gakuu was representing the Economic Planning Principal Secretary, James Muhati who had been invited to grace the occasion as the Chief Guest.

This year’s theme for the KIPPRA Mentorship Programme is:  “Kenya’s Transformation Agenda since Independence and Future Projections.”

 

The Mentorship Programme target audience drawn from Students and Lecturers in Universities and the TVETs Community.

The programme was designed to contribute to the government whole approach agenda geared towards addressing the challenges facing the youth in the country through empowering them and providing them with opportunities and hope for their future success in their respective careers.

H.E FCPA Fernandes Barasa, Kakamega County Governor, addressed the KIPPRA Forum on 6th March, 2024 at Sigalagala Notional Polytechnic.

 

Apart from mentorship programme, KIPPRA implements other professional capacity building activities which include training for working professionals, consultancy services for institutions and other partnerships in the areas of research and public policy.

 

Also present were: Prof. Benson Oteng’, KIPPRA Board Chairman, Dr. Rose Ngugi, KIPPRA Executive Director among others.
