Director Social and Governance

Ezekiel is an accomplished development practitioner with work experience spanning over 20 years in both public and private sectors. Prior to his current appointment, he served as the Deputy Director Finance at NEPAD/APRM Kenya Secretariat (2017-2023); Development Planner for the Community Empowerment and Institutional Support Project (2011-2016); District Development Officer for Tana River/Tana Delta (2005-2011); and Energy Researcher with African Energy Policy Research Network (2001-2004).

He holds a Master Degree in International Development and Cooperation (Agriculture and Rural Development), Hankyong National University (South Korea) and Bachelor of Arts Degree (Economics) University of Nairobi. He is also a Certified Investments and Financial Analyst (KASNEB); Certified Public Private Partnership Management Practitioner (Cambridge Resources International/Setym International) and currently pursuing governance certification, Certified Secretary (KASNEB).

To further enhance his knowledge on contemporary issues and service delivery, Ezekiel has successfully attended relevant short courses including Public Policy Research and Analysis; Understanding and Analyzing Public Sector Budgets; Public Sector Budget Governance; Managerial Finance; Strategic Leadership Development Program; Senior Management; Project Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation as well as Leadership and Team Building.

His current responsibility is to provide leadership in supporting policy formulation, planning and analysis in the Social and Governance sectors as well as assess the effectiveness of social and governance development policies, strategies and programmes.
