The National Treasury Cabinet Secretary Hon. FCPA John Mbadi launches the FY2027/28 and Medium-Term Budget Preparation Process.

The National Treasury Cabinet Secretary Hon. FCPA John Mbadi  has launched the FY2027/28 and Medium-Term Budget Preparation Process.

While delivering the keynote address the CS  emphasized on the need for Ministries, Departments, Agencies and Counties (MDACs) to align their plans, policies, programmes and budgets with the Fourth Medium-Term Plan (MTP IV) priorities.

Meanwhile, the Economic Planning Principal  Secretary Dr. Bonface Makokha reinforced that this being the final full-year budget under MTP IV, the FY2027/28 Budget offers a key opportunity to strengthen the gains of the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA) and prepare the Country for its post-Vision 2030 development agenda.

In attendance during the launch were: The Parliamentary Budget Committee Chairperson, Hon. Samuel Atandi; The National Treasury Principal Secretary, Dr. Chris Kiptoo and the Public Investment and Asset Management Principal Secretary, Mr. Cyrell Wagunda among others.
