Monitoring, Evaluation & Public Investment Management

Overview

The Directorate is responsible for the overall coordination and management of monitoring, evaluation, learning and public investment management functions. This entails:

Key Functions

  • Formulation and review of the Monitoring and Evaluation Policy;
  • Development and maintenance of a framework for planning, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting on programmes and projects
  • Management of the National Integrated Monitoring and Evaluation System;
  • Coordination of an integrated end-to-end national planning and reporting system;
  • Monitoring, evaluation, and reporting on the implementation of long-term, mediumterm, sector, and annual development plans;
  • Monitoring, evaluation, and reporting on the implementation of public programmes and projects
  • Development and review of monitoring and evaluation guidelines, norms, standards, and plans for the National and County Governments; and
  • Coordination of knowledge management and capacity building on monitoring, evaluation and programme management.
