The ‘Kenya We Want’ Dialogues

The development of the; ‘Kenya We Want’ is possible and can be done. Countries that have been able to transform remained committed to their long term plans, reformed their public sector and most importantly entrenched integrity as a key pillar of society.

 

The Economic Planning Principal Secretary, Dr. Bonface Makokha was part of a brainstorming session that was held at a Nairobi hotel on Thursday 6th, 2026. 

 

The aim of the meeting was to deliberate and make an informed assessment on issues that will guide the National conversation on Kenya’s long term Vision scheduled to take place on 12th August, 2026 which will be launched officially by H.E the President, Hon. William Samoei Ruto.

 

The Thursday morning event brought together participants from the public sector, faith based organizations, civil society, academia, the private sector, and youth led organizations among others.

 

While addressing the gathering, PS Makokha reiterated that the journey to the First World status will be inclusive, people centered and evidence based.

 

Present at the event was H.E Prof. Anyang’ Nyong’o, Governor of Kisumu County, Hon Betty Maina, former Cabinet Secretary, Dr. David Ndii Chairperson of the President’s Council of Economic Advisors among other senior state and non-state actors.
