Principal Secretary Dr. Bonface Makokha holds a meet and greet session at the Kenya Institute for Public Policy Research and Analysis (KIPPRA).

Economic Planning Principal Secretary Dr. Bonface Makokha on 25th April 2025 morning continued with his meet and greet session at the Kenya Institute for Public Policy Research and Analysis (KIPPRA).KIPPRA is a state Corporation established by the KIPPRA Act, CAP 112A, Laws of Kenya.
On arrival the Principal Secretary was received by the Board Chair Paul Wachana, the Ag. Executive Director, Dr. Eldah Onsomu and other Senior Members of staff.
PS Makokha was taken on a tour of all offices where he interacted with staff and got to see the facilities available at the the institution. Some of the highlights of the day were a modern studio and wellness centre something that SDEP can copy from KIPPRA.
KIPPRA whose Broad mandate is to develop capacities for policy formulation, implementation and evaluation; undertake relevant and timely policy research and analysis for objective policy advice; serve as a point of policy engagement and communication on public policy; and develop and maintain a reservoir of knowledge on public policy, in contributing to achievement of government development agenda is under the State Department for Economic Planning.
The PS was taken through the functions of the institution, achievements, opportunities, challenges and future plans.
The Principal Secretary appreciated the great work being done at KIPPRA and assured them that he will look into the matters raised to enable staff drive the country’s agenda forward. He emphasized on the need to boost staff morale and collaborative teamwork.
During the tour, PS Makokha was accompanied by Ag. Economic Planning Secretary, Timothy Gakuu, Ag. Economic Planning Secretary, James Maina and Senior Deputy Secretary, Hezron Nyamberi among others.
