The Kenya Revenue Authority Summit 2025

The 11th Annual Tax Summit organized by the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) themed “Beyond the Frontiers: Advancing Digitalized, Inclusive, and Customer-Centric Revenue Administrations” kicked off today, Tuesday,14th October, 2025 at a Nairobi Hotel.

 

This year’s discussions centres-around contemporary issues on policy, digital transformation, data governance, social inclusion, trade facilitation, economic development and compliance enhancement.

 

In addition, the summit aims to bring together government, policymakers, industry experts, private sector leaders, development partners and international institutions to discuss strategies on administration of tax and custom matters.

 

While Officially opening the summit, the State House Deputy Chief of Staff, Hon. Josphat Nanok who represented the Chief of Staff and Head of Public Service, Felix Kosgei EGH, emphasized that taxation plays a crucial role in achieving national plans like the Vision 2030 blueprint, the Bottom- Up Transformation Agenda (BETA) and the World’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

 

Moreover, by strengthening tax systems and implementing reforms, the government can mobilize domestic resources, reduce dependence on external aid and achieve its development goals.

 

Further, the Deputy Chief of Staff, Hon. Nanok took time to visit the State Department for Economic Planning (SDEP) booth. The department is also showcasing during the ongoing summit.

 

The two day event features plenary sessions, exhibition, policy dialogues, and networking sessions which provides a platform for dialogue, innovation and collaboration among key stakeholders driving Africa’s economic transformation.
