The Ministry of Planning National Development and Vision 2030 commissioned the development of Gender Mainstreaming Guidelines to enable it to mainstream gender in its work. The Guidelines are in response to the Ministry’s Strategic Plan, which recognizes the need to undertake sensitization and capacity building on
mainstreaming gender, HIV/AIDS and disability in its work. They also seek to fulfill the 2009/2010 gender mainstreaming indicator as required by the Performance Contract.
